About Diamonds: Carat

All gemstones are measured by the carat system and classified by carat weight. One carat is approximately equivalent to 1/5 of a gram in weight. A carat is also measured through points, where 100 points equals 1 carat. Using these calculations, when a diamond is said to be 75 points, it is also ¾ of a carat.
